Description

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Administrator

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Senior Accountant

Classification: Full-time, In-office, Non-Exempt

 

SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable Administrator is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of reports and schedules. These responsibilities include managing expense reports and reimbursements, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews, logs, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable after identifying invoices being paid.
  • Works with other departments to resolve issues regarding payments received from customers.
  • Creates and submits invoices according to company practices for intercompany billings.
  • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable, as needed.
  • Assists the Senior Accountant in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Accountant(s) to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least monthly) basis.
  • Relays changes in customer information to appropriate employees.
  • Reviews and processes employee expense reports and ensures adherence to the company travel policy.
  • Reviews and gathers approvals and coding of expenses.
  • Responds timely and professionally to employee inquiries.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of related experience preferred.

 

SPECIAL JOB CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficiency in SAP preferred
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
