Ensure safety and compliance through training in the nursing and residential departments; represent Moody as the industry expert in brain injury to the community.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for orientation and ongoing training and education for nursing staff, ensuring best practices and regulatory
compliance through practice and documentation.
This will include working at least 1 night/week on the evening, night and/or weekend shifts.
This will include travel to Tideway at least 1 day/evening a week.
Primary support for Lubbock campus will be remote, but may occasionally require travel to this location.
Coordinates with Residential and Clinical Managers for orientation and ongoing training and education of direct care and
clinical staff at both Space Center and Tideway locations.
Resource for patient and family education in conjunction with clinical and direct care staff through development of
in-services and other educational programs.
Coordinates with the Physician, Nurse Manager, and Program Directors to ensure Moody can meet the medical needs of the patients.
Responsible for development and presentation of education for community outreach such as CEU activities and brain injury
awareness activities.
Coordinate with CCO and Nurse Manager for program development; helping identify appropriate equipment and ensuring
appropriate staff education to be able to meet the needs of the populations
served.
Assist in research efforts both of Moody employees and affiliates.
Function as an RN as needed.
Function as an RN during emergency and weather situations.
