Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensure safety and compliance through training in the nursing and residential departments; represent Moody as the industry expert in brain injury to the community.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for orientation and ongoing training and education for nursing staff, ensuring best practices and regulatory
  • compliance through practice and documentation.
  • This will include working at least 1 night/week on the evening, night and/or weekend shifts.
  • This will include travel to Tideway at least 1 day/evening a week.
  • Primary support for Lubbock campus will be remote, but may occasionally require travel to this location.
  • Coordinates with Residential and Clinical Managers for orientation and ongoing training and education of direct care and
  • clinical staff at both Space Center and Tideway locations.
  • Resource for patient and family education in conjunction with clinical and direct care staff through development of
  • in-services and other educational programs.
  • Coordinates with the Physician, Nurse Manager, and Program Directors to ensure Moody can meet the medical needs of the patients.
  • Responsible for development and presentation of education for community outreach such as CEU activities and brain injury
  • awareness activities.
  • Coordinate with CCO and Nurse Manager for program development; helping identify appropriate equipment and ensuring
  • appropriate staff education to be able to meet the needs of the populations
  • served.
  • Assist in research efforts both of Moody employees and affiliates.
  • Function as an RN as needed.
  • Function as an RN during emergency and weather situations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
