Job Summary:


As a Construction Jr. Superintendent, you will be engaged in continuous learning and training. You will work closely with a designated team member who will provide leadership and guidance in learning the homebuilding process for assigned projects, ensuring timely completion.


Duties/Responsibilities:





  • Corporate Relations:





  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and labor contractors, ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment.



  • Attend weekly construction and community meetings to stay aligned with project goals and updates.



  • Collaborate with various contractors across different job sites, under the supervision of the Superintendent or Project Manager, to ensure homes are completed within the designated construction schedule.



  • Inspection Coordination:



  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned houses to ensure quality workmanship, verifying that all work aligns with plans and specifications, and tracking progress against the production schedule.



  • Schedule and oversee all inspections with relevant inspectors, manage any required repairs, and ensure timely re-inspection as needed.



  • System & Technology Processing:



  • Assist the Superintendent in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors to maintain project timelines.



  • Perform Wan Bridge's comprehensive Quality Checklist (354 touchpoints) before the home is handed over to management for final approval.



  • Verify and approve work completion on job sites for payment processing.



  • Order and manage construction materials to ensure timely delivery and use in accordance with project needs.



  • Upload monthly construction progress photos to the Wan Bridge System (WBS), including material delivery and quality installation photos as homes advance through different construction stages.



  • Utilize and comprehend computer-based construction software to effectively communicate and track project deadlines.



  • Provide regular updates on estimated completion and final survey dates to superintendent and project managers, ensuring accurate information is maintained in the WBS.



  • Acquire and implement knowledge of Wan Bridge construction procedures, particularly regarding the process from sheetrock tape and float to final home acceptance, under the supervision of the superintendent or project manager, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.



  • Uphold and enforce the company's site safety program, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company standards by subcontractors.

Qualifications:





  • High School Diploma or GED required.





  • Excellent organization, coordination, and project management skills.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device and/or computer-based software.



  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.






Essential Functions:





  • Report daily to the Project Site, Monday through Friday, and after hours as requested or needed to meet deadlines, including weekends and holidays.





  • Lift or move items up to 25 pounds or up to 50 with a "shared lift".



  • Ability to walk, sit or stand for long periods of time.



  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication in English.



  • Reliable transportation that meets job responsibilities.



  • Valid Texas Driver's License.



  • Maintain at least minimum car insurance required by Texas law.
