Duties and Responsibilities

    • Initiate and facilitate a positive working relationship with construction and development teams.
    • Prepare monthly AIA/G703 documents and related draw package.
    • Review contracts and proposals for accuracy.
    • Maintain the ERP integration between Procore, Sage and Textura.
    • Perform detailed monthly reviews of job cost and overhead allocations.
    • Monthly CCIP reporting
    • Assist with monthly construction projection reporting and analyze results.
    • Prepare month-end construction journal entries into ERP system.
    • Assist with external audits as needed.
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliation for construction bank accounts.
    • Review and approve daily development and construction invoices verifying the accuracy of costing.
    • Maintain owner specific reconciliations, construction deliverables and accounting reports for lenders and partners.
    • Prepare expense prorations related to reclassifying WIP to fixed assets.
    • Maintain strict adherence to all due dates and deadlines.
    • Provide support to other project accountants and department as needed.
    • Continually work to identify and implement more efficient procedures and use of resources to improve workflow while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Developing written documentation of construction accounting procedures.
    • Other tasks assigned by Construction Accounting VP or SVP/CAO, not previously listed as essential job functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred and related field experience with 7+ years of construction accounting.

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel & Word are required.

  • Intermediate experience with financial and construction accounting software such as Sage, Procore and Textura is preferred.  Concur is a plus.
