Designer

Roux is looking to add a Designer to support the Houston Office with preparation of engineering design drawings for landfill, stormwater, and other civil and environmental engineering elements common in the solid waste management and petrochemical industry. AutoCAD software experience is required at an advanced level.  AutoCAD Civil 3D software experience at an advanced level is required.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, those outlined below. 

Position Requirements

• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
• High initiative, good interpersonal skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure within short schedules.
• AutoCAD software experience is required at an advanced level.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D software experience at an advanced level is required.
• Ability to support other administrative functions as needed.
• Experience in preparing plans and specifications a plus.

Essential Duties

• Using AutoCAD Civil 3D to assist engineers with the creation of drawings and 3D models for solid waste projects.
• Calculating volumes and quantities for clients relating to earthwork and geosynthetic installation estimates.
• Work with multiple project teams simultaneously to achieve deadlines for different clients.
• Communicating with clients directly to define scope and execute revisions as warranted.
• Providing value engineering solutions during the design process for various civil engineering projects.
