We are currently seeking a Warehouse Receiving Associate to join our team in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for receiving and dispatching material to and from the warehouse.
The temperature in the Warehouse may vary, only parts are temperature controlled. Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Operating hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm. Some Saturdays and late evenings may be required, depending on the workload.
What you’ll do:
- Receive and unload freight manually or using equipment, inspecting for damage. Load outgoing delivery trucks
- Move inventory from receiving and re-stock it in the designated warehouse position
- Comply with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, follow instructions, and operate in a safe and orderly manner
- Retrieve and deliver products from storage areas, tag, and issue products, and rotate inventory
- Assemble pallets, stock shelves, and cross-train on alternate assignments
- Assist in various work areas as needed to ensure operational efficiency
- Handling heavy machinery like forklifts or pallet drivers, is possible
What you bring:
- 1-3 years of shipping / receiving experience
- Experience with receiving goods, unloading, staging, palletizing and loading
- Able to work extended hours and be flexible to work overtime
Physical demands:
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Capability to push carts bearing loads up to 60 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and stretch during the shift
- Using carts and dollies for moving items
- Adherence to safety, quality, and production norms
