Description

Cimarron is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the groundbreaking Axiom Space Commercial Space Station program in Houston, TX.  In this role, you will serve as a lead and manage the Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts across multiple engineering disciplines, playing a key role in advancing this innovative space initiative.

Key Duties: 

  • Evaluate EEE parts and compare against screening and qualification requirements.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to select COTS and MIL-SPEC avionics.
  • Ensure compliance with spare components, parts maintainability, and obsolescence requirements.
  • Author and maintain the EEE Parts Standard. 
  • Assess EEE parts against program screening, selection, and qualification requirements.
  • Monitor space and commercial industry advisories and support mitigation actions.
  • Represent Avionics as an EEE Parts engineering SME.
  • Support EEE parts processes through development and production.
  • Present for approval various non-standard parts to internal and external control boards.
  • Perform reviews of screening, qualification, and DPA data as required.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across engineering disciplines, including avionics, propulsion, payloads, power, and related subsystems. 


Requirements

Required Skills, Experience, and Education: 

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time. 
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • 5 or more years of related experience. 
  • Experience with EEE Parts procurements and screening.
  • Understanding of EEE Parts processes and requirements.
  •  Ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related).

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 20 or more years of related experience. 
  • Familiarity with NASA-STD-873910.
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry.
