Position Overview:

The Company is looking for a full-time Foundation Designer, with emphasis on Post-Tension  Industry (PTI) Standards, to add to the team located in our Houston office. We are looking for an ambitious candidate that is proficient using AutoCAD and knowledgeable with both Post-Tension and conventional (rebar) slab design. This person must have previous structural design experience ideally in the residential sector. Previous technical experience with foundation analysis outside of Texas a plus.


Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of PTI Industry Standards and geotechnical reports desired. Familiarity with PTI slab analysis Is      required.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Demonstrated previous foundation design experience desired
  • Prepare structural foundation plans for mainly residential structures using architectural drawings with limited to no supervision
  • Familiarity with survey plans and plot plans is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret residential architectural blueprints
  • Concrete experience outside of Texas is a plus   
  • Familiarity in building codes a plus
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to compute percentages, and to perform basic algebra and geometry
  • Willingness to work long days and weekends as required
  • A team-oriented, proactive and adaptable work ethic

Work Schedule:

Generally Monday – Friday day shift, on site, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs.
