Primary Function:


Primary duties entail designing, producing and maintaining a variety of graphic assets including electronic and print communications (Brochures, flyers, ads, banners, web pages, e-mails, social media, blogs, etc.).


Candidate must be flexible and excited about working in a fast paced company; have proven digital communication, graphic and organizational skills; and be willing and able to focus on both internal and external customer service to meet business needs.


The graphics specialist is responsible for coordinating the layout and design of Hart Energy marketing communication activities (including papers, case studies, collateral, online advertising, direct mail, broadcast e-mail, web page development, web advertising and other communications) as well as participating with marcom teams to produce a consistent and appropriately positioned corporate brand. The graphics specialist participates in the design of marketing literature, and other various marketing communications projects and programs.


This position will team with various other business unit departments to plan and implement graphics projects. This role will interface with external vendors including design agencies, digital media, inbound marketing, social networks and publishers.


The graphics specialist will work with the head of marketing to develop specific integrated promotional campaigns for branding and product promotions and sales initiatives. The graphics specialist will be responsible for the tactical planning and execution of creative and graphics projects for assigned projects and assist in assigned company-wide marcom initiatives. The graphics specialist will ensure projects are in line with corporate and business unit sales goals, strategy, branding and budget.


Essential Job Functions:



  • Develop and maintain a sufficient understanding of Hart Energy, all of its products and clients necessary to support marketing and sales

  • Help to organize and lead the planning, coordination and production of corporate and business unit marcom programs

  • With direction from the head of marketing, create and implement marcom graphic initiatives and projects complete with goals and timelines for action items.

  • Proactively add to and contribute to the maintenance of a comprehensive marketing data base of graphic assets

  • Manage workflow of marcom projects to include prioritization and tracking of activities and deadlines in the area of online marketing and print

  • Serve as liaison with external vendors and manage the company's relationship with these vendors in regards to project initiation, scheduling, completion, budget, evaluation and delivery

  • Assist in development of annual marketing communications plans

  • Consistently evaluate additional opportunities for fit with Hart Energy strategic objectives and sales goals. Maintain relationships with existing and potential partners.

  • Ensure that all materials meet corporate standards and that required legal language is referenced appropriately. Proofread materials for legal and editorial correctness. Responsible for maintaining consistency of corporate identity through all projects.

  • Work with design agency and internal creative resources to develop imagery that supports the Hart Energy brand and messaging while maximizing customer acquisition and selling opportunities.

  • Interact marketing and sales staff to track and coordinate e digital and print marcom efforts.

  • Design and producing electronic communications projects.

  • Help keep the www.Hart Energy.com Web sites current and up to date.

  • Managing some web related projects.

  • Design, produce and maintain some web site graphics.

  • Experience with Web promotions and e-mail campaigns

  • Experience in developing PowerPoint presentations

  • Artistic design and communications skills

  • Extensive experience with print and digital media layout and design

  • Knowledge of the commercial printing process

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BBA), in marketing, communications or business, from a four-year college or university and a minimum of six years' experience in marketing communications or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least four years of experience managing digital, graphic and print projects.

  • Energy industry experience is preferred.

  • The successful candidate for this role will combine a marketing background with creative, analytical, and strong leadership and project management skills.
