Description

Job Responsibilities



  • Manages full investigation process by initiating investigation, performing investigatory interviews, and makes necessary recommendations.

  • Respond and provides guidance to management and employees on job-related conflicts, employee relation issues, employment law, and other human resources related issues. 

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

  • Support with developing new programs and initiatives to meet management needs

  • Performs compensation and market analysis to benchmark roles and remain competitive in the market

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; new-hire set-ups, productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Supports Benefits Specialist in annual open enrollment process, and administration of leave benefits. 

  • Troubleshooting, investigating system issues within MyMAREK (Oracle Cloud)

  • Quarterly Testing for Oracle Cloud updates and testing on projects for various departments such as HR, Safety and IT.

  • Employee PTO calculation and PDBA creation in JD Edwards as needed.

  • Oversee the administration of the MAREK pre-employment and onboarding process. 

  • Manage FMLA, STD, LTD Tracking and initial point of contact in partnership with benefits team.

  • Complete Employment Verifications

  • Responsible for company gas card set up, maintenance and support

  • Participates in special projects that enable the Human Resources department to contribute to Company goals.

  • Performs other job-related duties in additional areas of responsibility as assigned.


Job Requirements


Education



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred

  • SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR certification a plus 


 


Experience



  • 5+ years of pervious HR experience in benefits, general human resources, and customer service

  • General knowledge of various HRIS systems such as JDE, Oracle Cloud preferred

  • Must be willing to travel 10% of the time

  • Ability to be a strong employee advocate but also has a clear understanding of the need for achieving business objectives.
