General Responsibilities:


The IAH Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the activities associated with the inbound and outbound warehouse operations. This position is accountable for assisting in achieving overall operating results consistent with individual and company performance goals. You will be responsible for managing the processes and activities related to product receiving, order loading, expense and revenue management, provide management to warehouse staff and ensuring safety and security of the inbound and outbound warehouse departments. Successfully supervise and manage the Aries warehouse administrative duties and responsibilities as directed by the Global Contract Logistics Director. This includes: build and analyze reports; supervise all warehouse billing; quote assistance; overlook warehouse purchases / expenses (including lumber & supplies); assist with meetings and various training; supervise warehouse equipment maintenance; supervise staff; overseeing and working directly on warehouse emails/ customer service / quotes and work orders / tasks; assist with the marketing of warehouse product lines / services.

Specific Job Duties:



  • Directs the daily work and safety of Inbound and Outbound Warehouse supervisors and other associates.

  • Develops business relationships to ensure communication and efficient operations with third party vendors

  • Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with the implementation of changes within inbound and outbound warehouse operations. Identifies problems, proposes solutions to other members of management and promotes cooperation with other departments.

  • Understand and be able to speak to budget, profit plans and capital requests as required. Evaluates metrics and adjusts activities to meet or exceed performance expectations.

  • Maintain a safe environment for team members and visitors in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations; accountable for providing a safe work environment, elimination of accidents and the security of distribution center facilities and team members while on company property.

  • Performs management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations.

  • Support and encourage an open-door policy to ensure open lines of communication with colleagues and respond to colleague issues or questions in a timely manner.

  • Keep up with the latest in warehouse techniques and operating methods

  • All Aries property, assets, inventory, and equipment are properly accounted for and secure

  • Help train staff to work safely, more efficient and productive

  • Be a part of and help continue to improve a working team environment at Aries

  • Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related issues

  • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads

  • Performs the duties of associates supervised and other related duties as needed

  • Oversight and management of all IAH Warehouse operations, profit and loss (P&L)

  • Successfully perform business tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements



  • Minimum seven years industry experience

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs

  • High School Diploma or GED
