Wiremax by Deacero is seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented Industrial Machine Operator. This role is critical to organizational success and offers opportunity for continuous learning. At WIREMAX we manufacture general-purpose and high-performance steel wires based on international quality standards to meet the specifications of various industries.  We are an international company that specializes in the manufacture, sale, and distribution of steel wires for lifting, oil field, and energy projects.  We are an international manufacturer of wire cables for lifting, oil field, and energy projects committed to supporting the operational continuity of our clients through the provision of high-quality solutions, superior performance, 24/7 availability, and specialized technical service.  We operate distribution centers in Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

To address the international market demand, we operate 7 production and support plants, 2 steel mills, 5 distribution centers, 26 service centers and 6 sales offices throughout the United States and Mexico.  Our general-purpose and high-performance wire ropes for lifting, anchoring, or pulling operations are 100% manufactured in our Houston, Texas plant, which is certified under ISO 9001:2015 and API 9-A standards. 

Production Operation Hours:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shifts available (3rd shift pay differntial is an extra $1.00 per hour).

  • 1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday  (flexible to work weeknds when necessary).
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday  (flexible to work weeknds when necessary).
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00pm - 6:30am, Monday - Friday  (flexible to work weeknds when necessary).

Position Summary: The Industrial Machine Operator will operate the industrial machines according to work methods. Perform routine maintenance checkpoints, able to identify and repair minor wire-rope machine mechanical problems, like stalls or jams. Will be trained to eventually operate various machines and learn processes related to manufacturing steel wire products. All team members are expected to ensure assigned areas of responsibility are working under high-safety and quality standards with ZERO harm.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet production goals to ensure conistent suppy of product per customer demands.
  • Inspection, setup, operate, and adjust industrial wire-rope machines according to specifications and operation procedures that can include: calibration, trouble-shooting, repair of minor mechancial issues (stalls or jams), changeovers, and cleaning of machines to complete production orders timely with specified levels for various wire sizes and types.
  • Perform quality-control checks of finished wire-rope products according to standards.
  • Keep record of pre/post inspections of machines, equipment, tools, and finished products.
  • Report any major mechancial issues to lead and/or maintenace crew for immediate trouble-shooting and to minimize any down-time.
  • Operate the industiral wire-rope machines safely and visually observing machines for any stalls, jams, or malfunctions while in operation.
  • May operate forlift and/or overhead crane to move products safely.
  • Labeling or tagging finished product.
  • May asssit other machine operators as needed.
  • Use of basic mathematical principles and have knowledge of measurement processes that can include: hand-tools, gauges, measurement devices,  the use of tape measures, micrometer, scales, and other measurement equipment.
  • Operate machinery to create quality products based on build specifications.
  • Document production information and accurately reporting production data as required.
  • Keep work area clean and free from hazardous conditions.
  • Know safety equipment and be aware of machine safety procedures.
  • Practice safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Adhere to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Assist in other areas of the facility and perform other duties as needed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Miniumum of 1-year experience working in an industrial, manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
  • Ability to complete simple forms and understand simple written instructions.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
  • Great attention to detail required.
  • Understand the importance of quality and inspect your work frequently for errors.
  • Mintain safety in whatever you do through constant risk assessment.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends (when necessary).
