Dixon is looking for a Manufacturing Tech to join its team at its Houston, TX manufacturing facility. The right candidate will assemble valve components, such as bodies, bonnets, and seals, according to blueprints and technical specifications. They will also perform, pressure tests, inspect valves to conifrm that they meet industry standards and customer specifications along with other assigned duties. High school education or equivalent required and three years' experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble valve components, such as bodies, bonnets, and seals, according to blueprints and technical specifications.
- Perform hydro pressure tests to verify valve performance.
- Inspect assembled valves to confirm they meet industry standards and custome specifications; identify and resolve any defects or quality issues.
- Ensure proper inventory levels for components and tools needed for valve assembly and repair; communicate needs with purchasing or supervisor.
COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments like calipers, and pressure gauges.
- Knowledge of valve types, materials, and operation principles; ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals.
- Ability to use basic shop mathematics specifically addition and subtraction
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
