Position Overview:


The P.E Principal Mechanical Engineer will lead and oversee the mechanical engineering components of major pipeline facility projects. This position requires significant technical expertise and the ability to work independently. The role involves managing mechanical deliverables and occasionally guiding junior engineers. Performance is reviewed periodically to ensure project objectives are met.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare, review, and approve mechanical engineering calculations, specifications, and data sheets.

  • Oversee the preparation and evaluation of material requisitions for equipment and materials.

  • Coordinate and review PFDs, P&IDs, piping plans, and site layouts.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for mechanical and piping activities with clients.

  • Review and approve vendor drawings and technical documentation.

  • Ensure mechanical engineering deliverables meet project specifications and contractual requirements.

  • Participate in both short and long-term site assignments or client office work as needed.


 


Requirements:



  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in oil and gas pipeline facilities, including compressor stations, pump stations, and storage terminals.

  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, API, ASME) applicable to pipeline facility designs.

  • Computer Skills: Proficient in engineering-related software and systems.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


 


Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

  • Professional Engineering License preferred.
