Job Description

Job Summary

This position will leverage strategic insights to support the coordination, production, and management of written, visual, and digital marketing and communications strategy, programs and materials. This position will oversee the writing and video production teams in developing highly targeted creative campaigns and brand marketing. This will require strategic thinking, conceptual competency, strong writing sensibilities, and a high level of craftsmanship across all media, including video, digital, experiential, social, and print.
You may also be called on to formulate strategies and administer policies, processes, and resources. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, project management, and problem recognition, avoidance, and resolution skills are absolutely essential. This position offers a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the Houston area and a fully remote option for those located outside of Houston..


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage writers in the creation of print and digital content that provides information or showcases the products, services and expertise the company offers
  • Communicates difficult concepts to team to generate clarity and alignment on projects, initiatives, and various work products
  • Develops content that accurately reflects company ideals
  • Performs specialized assignments; solves complex problems and develops non-traditional solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking
  • Interprets internal/external business environment
  • Recommends best practices to improve processes or services
  • Impacts achievements of customer, operational, project or service objectives
  • May lead functional projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
  • Individual contributor working independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations
  • Collaborates with graphic designers and video team to determine appropriate visual, textual and animated elements of projects
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred


Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience working as a copywriter in an agency or corporate marketing environment in brand, visual identity, creative services/advertising with experience working across all marketing mediums
  • 3+ years managing creative teams
  • Skilled at working with multiple internal and external parties of various levels including C-suite.
