Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott LLP (PBFCM) has an immediate opening for a Special District Report Writer in our Houston office.


PBFCM has been in business since 1970. We represent more than 2000 governmental entities in Texas school districts, cities, counties, hospital districts, appraisal districts, and special districts. We have grown steadily every year. We currently have 15 offices across Texas with over 50 attorneys and more than 400 employees. Essential Job Functions:



  • Report activity log of reports created previously, creating reports for upcoming meetings, running rolls, preparing attorneys' packet for meetings, when needed.

  • Maintain and update calendars for meeting dates and report deadlines.

  • Correspond daily via email and phone with clients, taxpayers, tax office, general counsel consultants, and Board members.

  • Maintain and update our Access database system.

  • Meet daily and weekly deadlines on assigned report.

  • Additional clerical or administrative duties, as needed or assigned.


Experience Requirement:



  • At least one (1) year experience in an office setting

  • Experience working in a collection law firm (Preferred)

  • Three (3) years of professional work experience (Preferred)


Education Requirement:



  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Certifications and/or College Degree (Preferred)

Work Environment:


This position involves:



  • Sitting at a computer most of the day

  • On the job training

  • Performance assessment within the first 90 days of employment

  • Annual performance reviews

  • Reporting to Special District Manager and Special District Report Coordinator


Physical Demands:



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, speak and hear. The employee is required to stand, use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, the employee may be required, on occasion, to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee may be required to travel by air or car.
