What you’ll do…
We are looking for a reliable Senior Accountant to be responsible for ensuring the Company’s quarterly and annual EPC financial statements are accurate and timely for internal and external reporting. The Senior EPC accountant is also responsible for AR billing and expected to assist with technical accounting projects, process improvements and to build relationships with the EPC Project and Accounting teams. You will report to the Operations Accounts Director. This a hybrid role based out of Erock’s Houston downtown HQ.
You’ll make an impact by:
· Maintain and prepare EPC financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
· Perform full cycle accounting, including preparation of general ledger journal entries, accounting schedules for both internal and external financial reporting, EPC accounts reconciliation, bank reconciliation, inventory roll forwards and other financial analysis in accordance with GAAP
· Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts
· Support reporting and billing for the EPC business
· Assist in the formulation and maintenance of internal controls and policies to comply with US GAAP and established best practices
· Participate in preparation for the annual audit
· Independently researches and documents accounting issues and see them through to resolution
· Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
· Review commercial contracts, lease agreements, capital project requests for expenditure, etc. for proper accounting treatment and document conclusions.
· Provide training and support to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance and accounting procedures
· Collaborates with others in the organization providing support as needed, including assisting in the completion of special projects
· Adept at balancing and prioritizing competing and shifting priorities
· Assist in the implementation / development of processes for Microsoft Business Central and OnePlan
· Assisting with ad-hoc information requests, projects, and analysis
· Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company’s management.

What you'll need:
· 5-7 years of proven experience as Senior Accountant or other similar position
· Knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting
· Ability to be detailed oriented while thinking strategically
· Working knowledge of MS Office (especially strong excel skills), Microsoft Business Central and OnePlan
· Well-organized with ability to prioritize
· Strong analytical and communication skills
· Solid knowledge of US GAAP
· BS/BA in Accounting
· Prior experience with percentage of completion/revenue recognition is a plus
· Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
· Ability to work in a fast paced, and rapidly growing environment
· Physical requirements and working conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry [files weighing up to 20 pounds]; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person
