- Bachelor’s degree required; CPA license is required.
- Big 4 or national firm public accounting experience preferred.
- 5+ years accounting or relevant experience.
- Analytical, accurate, organized, and detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing assignments with ease and minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of an ERP system required, preferably PeopleSoft.
- Experience with analysis and reconciliation of complex accounts.
- Aptitude and willingness to learn new software applications.
- Thorough understanding of accounting rules under US GAAP, with particular emphasis on ASC 350/360, and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to standard operating procedures, metrics, and regulatory compliance.
- Skilled in developing relationships across the Company to accomplish work goals, and ability to listen and share ideas amongst coworkers.
- Highly motivated professional with strong initiative and work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with an asset management tool preferred.
- Experience with a project costing tool preferred.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

The starting salary for this position is $80,700 – $134,500 and may increase to $168,200 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.

About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our Capital Asset & Lease Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will report to the Senior Manager of Capital Assets & Lease Accounting and will account for the Company’s technology expenditures. This is a remote position.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities
- Perform the full cycle month-end close process for technology accounts, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to the business regarding technology expenditures.
- Ensure technology expenditure coding aligns with US GAAP and Company policies.
- Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports in a timely manner.
- Monitor activity in various general ledger accounts, including CIP accounts, prepaid technology accounts, data processing accounts, and various other accounts.
- Execute projects geared toward process improvement and identify automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with various internal organizations for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tasks.
- Assist management and various internal organizations with their understanding of internal financial statements and other general questions.
- Participate in quarterly, interim, and year-end audits.
- Partner with internal auditors to ensure internal controls are compliant with SOX 404.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and Company policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned.
