Position Overview:
The Senior Data Warehouse Developer works with business and technical teams to provide subject matter expertise in the design and development of Business Intelligence solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data warehouse solutions using both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
Job Duties:
Gather business requirements and create architectural designs.
Develop new ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory and Matillion.
Support existing ETL solutions leveraging SSIS.
Develop standards and best practices for loading data from and into different source/target systems.
Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Provide subject matter expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data ingestion methods.
Performs the design and extension of data marts, meta data, and data models.
Translates requirements and data mapping documents to technical designs.
Gains an understanding of the enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards.
Performs data analysis, data profiling, and reviews current environment to meet specific customer requirements.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams (QA, Production, DBAs) to address data-related issues and requirements.
Manage data warehouse databases, ensuring that data is consistent, accurate, and accessible.
Monitor the performance of the data warehouse and make optimizations to improve speed and efficiency.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or another related field
Experience:
5+ years of experience as a data warehouse developer, business intelligence developer, or equivalent role.
5+ years of experience with Matillion/Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools.
3+ years of experience with Snowflake and other cloud warehouses.
3+ years of experience with Power BI.
Experience with Agile methodology and working on an Agile team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience in full cycle delivery of data warehouse projects.
Expert in SQL language and writing complex logic using SQL
Knowledge of stored procedures and functions in Snowflake
Expert in dimensional modeling
Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Git for source control, deployments, and scrum boards.

Experience:
1+ year of Matillion experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Azure Data Lake storage, Azure Databricks, Deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.
Skills in data analysis, programming (e.g., Python, R), statistics, machine learning, data visualization, problem-solving, and domain expertise to derive actionable insights from data.
Familiarity with Python and other programming languages for database automation.
