Description

We are currently seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join one of our clients in the machinery industry. This position is remote, giving you the opportunity to work from anywhere in the Houston TX metropolitan and surrounding areas with occasional travel to client's and customer's site as needed.

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and effectively. This role involves close collaboration with fellow engineers and cross-functional teams to drive the successful execution of projects at the cutting edge of engineering design and innovation. You will contribute to the development of advanced solutions for a diverse range of heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, agricultural machinery, and oil and gas systems, delivering exceptional performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop machinery and mechanical equipment for the client’s needs.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and improve existing machinery or equipment for optimized performance.
  • Create detailed drawings and blueprints that will be used for production.
  • Develop and test prototypes to ensure that the machinery and equipment meet the necessary quality and safety standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and research in the field of machinery.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions to mechanical design and development problems.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mobile heavy equipment machinery industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor (preferred), AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Experience in designing and developing mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices.
