We are currently in search of an exceptional Senior Software Engineer/Software Engineering Architect to join our esteemed Technology Architecture and Systems Engineering team. In this role, your primary focus will revolve around creating robust and resilient software solutions with an unwavering commitment to quality and reliability.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Education:



  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, a comparable program, or an equivalent qualification, with 5+ years of comprehensive experience in software development.



  • Experience:

    • Excel in Python programming, demonstrating advanced skills and expertise.

    • Understand concepts related to distributed event-driven architecture, such as Apache Pulsar or similar technologies.

    • Have a working knowledge and experience with Tableau.

    • Possess strong skills in relational database management and SQL programming.

    • Be well-versed in REST API concepts.

    • Familiarity with front-end technologies, including .NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    • Exhibit a solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, Windows, and Azure DevOps.

    • Approach your work with a strong focus on quality assurance.




 


 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of software processes and proficiently conduct code reviews and unit testing, adhering to best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define project requirements and translate them into developer-friendly, highly scalable, and dependable microservices APIs.

  • Design, create, and maintain robust and sustainable systems that underpin our business applications, ensuring their reliability and longevity.

  • Act as a collaborative team member, contributing to end-to-end project execution and fostering teamwork.

  • Maintain responsibility for technical design, developing new features, and sustaining existing components at the highest standards.

  • Exemplify strong work ethic, ability to learn new technologies, and a commitment to timely project delivery.

  • Stay up to date with Baylor Genetics training requirements, ensuring ongoing professional development.
