Position Summary:


We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Silver Eagle Distributors Houston. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with accounting standards
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate cash flow management and reporting
  • Maintain Fixed Asset module in Business Central 365
  • Track and manage inventory levels, including valuation and reconciliation of beverage inventory and related cost accounting
  • Support the budgeting process and assist in financial forecasting to aid strategic planning
  • Assists the Controller with special projects, i.e. an audit, as required
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned


What You Need to Succeed:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, preferred 
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) skills
  • Experience with VIP or other distribution software platforms, a strong plus 
  • Strong organization and analytical skills, with attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and listening skills; demonstrated ability to convey information clearly and effectively across multiple levels of the Company 
  • Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements

The Physical Requirements:

  • This role requires full-time, in-office attendance. Remote or work from home options are not available
  • Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
  • This is a sedentary role; however, light to medium work exerting up to 25 pounds of force to move objects may occasionally be required
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment
  • Work hours may vary due to business needs
