Key Responsibilities/ Duties: 

    • Perform and review journal entries related to normal month/quarter-end close cycles.
    • Prepare general ledger reconciliations and GL account analysis; ensuring balances are accurate, sufficiently documented and meet accounting requirements.
    • Develop and document business processes and procedures while ensuring strong internal controls.
    • Research technical accounting issues and create processes to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Maintain and create operational and accounting financial standards.
    • Perform Percentage of Completion Accounting (POC).
    • Maintain accurate records of financial information. 
    • Support and participate in internal audits and other control processes narratives. 
    • Participate in external audit, including preparation of required schedules.
    • Perform adhoc projects, research and analysis as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors: 

    • Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability.
    • Knowledge of computer-based accounting systems.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high transaction environment.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Education/ Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 2-7 years of related accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite.
  • Driven by zero defect capable processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Certifications:   

  • CPA, CPA Eligible or working towards.

Physical Demands:  

Sedentary Work – Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
