Position Overview:

The Company is looking for a candidate trainee to become a full-time Structural Designer 1 to add to the team. We are looking for an ambitious candidate that is knowledgeable in the use of AutoCAD.  A  basic understanding of structural principles or design is a plus in either residential foundation or frame design.

Candidate(s) will be given direct one on one training over a period of time, with regular feedback and assessment of their progress.  At the end of the program, those candidates identified as having successfully and satisfactorily completed the training will be assigned to design teams in full-time positions.

• Train Monday thru Friday 8 am – 5 pm in our Houston Office.
• Knowledgeable in using AutoCAD 
• Experience in wood-framed construction a plus
• Experience in post tension slab design is a plus
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to compute percentages, and to perform basic algebra and geometry
• Strong writing/grammar skills
• Experienced with the suite of Microsoft Office products, such as Outlook, Excel and Word
• Commitment to excel in Customer Service and meeting Customer deadlines and expectations
• Strong organization and time management skills which include the ability to multi-task and run multiple projects concurrently 
• Willingness to work long days and weekends as required
• A team-oriented, proactive and adaptable work ethic
