H.M. Royal, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Territory Sales Manager in the Greater Houston, TX region to sell, support and promote raw materials to Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomer compounders.  The ideal candidate must have demonstrated success in developing and closing sales of specialty and commodity raw material solutions to company owners, presidents, technical and production decision makersPosition can be based in any of the following locations: Houston, TX or Dallas, TX. This position will be home office based and require weekly travel to meet with clients in the territory.

 Responsibilities 

  • Maintain and expand position at existing accounts, as well as locate and develop new customers to meet aggressive growth targets 

  • Identify new products and applications 

  • Consult and provide information about the company’s products and services and technical/formulation support 

  • Ensure timely contact reports on all customer meetings involving substantial or new information 

  • Effectively manage all customer service and client inquires. 

 

Job requirements / Candidate profile 

 

  • Education: BA or BS degree, preferably in Chemistry, or other technical area 

  • Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic 

  • Above average interpersonal and presentation skills 

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office 

  • Minimum of 10 plus years outside sales experience in raw materials for compounding industries 

  • Requires a valid driver’s license and some overnight travel for prospecting, developing and maintaining sales to existing and new accounts in TX, LA, and OK.
