Description

Responsibilities:



  1. Receiving and Inspecting Goods:

    • Unload incoming shipments from trucks and check for accuracy.

    • Inspect goods for damage and report any issues to supervisors.

    • Verify the quantity and quality of items received against purchase orders.


  2. Storing Goods:

    • Place items in designated storage areas according to organizational standards.

    • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage areas.

    • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to record the location of inventory.


  3. Order Picking and Packing:

    • Retrieve items from storage based on order specifications.

    • Pack items securely for shipment to prevent damage.

    • Label packages accurately with shipping information.


  4. Shipping:

    • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.

    • Verify shipping documents and ensure accuracy.

    • Coordinate with transportation providers for timely deliveries.


  5. Inventory Management:

    • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits.

    • Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels.

    • Assist in inventory replenishment and stock rotation.


  6. Equipment Operation:

    • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

    • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.

    • Report any equipment malfunctions to supervisors.


  7. Maintaining Warehouse Cleanliness:

    • Keep the warehouse clean and organized.

    • Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly.

    • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.


  8. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.

    • Complete necessary paperwork for receiving, storing, and shipping goods.

    • Provide regular updates to supervisors on warehouse activities.


  9. Team Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.

    • Assist with training new employees.

    • Participate in team meetings and provide input on process improvements.



Skills and Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more).

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

  • Capacity to lift and carry heavy objects.

  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures within the warehouse.
