LOCATION: 2855 Gramercy St. Houston, TX 77025 This is a remote hybrid position. Must be Houston-based.
POSITION SUMMARY
Contributes to the organization by providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, preparing financial statements and completing daily journal entries. This position is responsible for reconciling accounts, month end balancing activities and year end close.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and from departments.
Analyze information by developing spreadsheet reports.
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; and reconciling accounts.
Ensure accuracy of overall reporting and consistency with internal and external requirements.
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting tasks as assigned, including bank reconciliations.
Proactively identify & research potential issues and recommend courses of action to the Controller.
Assist management with internal and external audit requests.
Complete all OSHA/Safety and HIPAA required training to remain in compliance.
Other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES:
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES - No certifications or licenses required.
EXPERIENCE - Two (2) plus years of accounting experience.
Experience with Sage Intacct or Dynamics GP preferred. Attention to detail.
Self-motivated. Utilization of sound judgment, professionally.
Ability to follow instructions from multiple sources and set priorities accordingly.
Ability to effectively communicate and to get along well with others.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to identify priorities and quickly transition between tasks.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all assigned deadlines.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
