GENERAL FUNCTION

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is an outside sales role that achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. This position personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers and oversees and manages the sales operations and direct reports within a specific geographic area. As a key member of the team, the role requires a clear overview of the whole sales and order process which will impact profitability of the regional budget.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and motivating sales teams to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
  • Bring additional Distribution and Merchant partners on board.
  • Developing sales programs that maximize sales from assigned accounts to target accounts.
  • Analyzing market trends
  • Developing sales strategies
  • Identifying opportunities for business growth
  • Overseeing and conducting market research to develop and implement sales initiatives.
  • Attend trade events/expos/conferences to grow presence in designated region.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Keeps up to date on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fiber cement, building materials, or related industry
  • Excellent technical knowledge of the fiber cement manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record of consistent growth in previous roles
  • Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Confident and practiced in giving presentations to small and large groups.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and CRM software is essential.
  • Ability to identify new initiatives and apply them.
  • Handling customer inquiries directly and in a timely manner
