General Information/Job Summary
The Construction Manager is accountable for all aspects of the construction scope of work, including safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. They manage the construction schedule and budget and lead the on-site workforce.Β They represent Saulsburyβs interests and ensure a successful project.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single point of on-site leadership and accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and budgetary performance.
- Demonstrate visible leadership to uphold Saulsbury standards and ensure all work is conducted in alignment with our core values.
- Develop work plans to safely deliver a quality project.
- Identify potential issues early, resolve or mitigate them, and escalate as appropriate.
- Conduct resource scheduling including company workforce, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Lead and support project administrative functions including cost control, progress tracking, scheduling, forecasting, procurement, etc.
- Assist with the recruitment and development of the construction workforce.
- Provide direction and guidance to craft superintendents, general foremen, and subcontractor site leadership.
- Work with Project Manager and others to identify and manage scope change.
- Be an effective steward of Saulsbury and Customer resources.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant construction industry experience.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience on BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), PV, or similar projects.
- Satisfactory completion of a drug screen & background check is required
- Proficiency in various areas of construction (electrical, earthwork, utilities, structures, mechanical, etc.)
- Understanding of various project management aspects including cost and schedule control, forecasting, and contract change management.
- Uncompromising commitment to safety and quality.
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to set goals, uphold standards, generate buy-in, and foster a culture of constructive accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to navigate challenging project issues.
- Ability to travel and/or temporarily relocate to project construction sites.

- Prolonged periods sitting / standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
