Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering




Our client is looking for a Professional Engineer with hydrologic and hydraulic experience to prepare and assist in the preparation of drainage reports, drainage calculations and the preparation of construction drawings in its Roadway Division. This professional will work on civil design plans for roadway projects, flood control, commercial, retail, multi-family, and mixed-use land development projects.




Key Technical Responsibilities:


Ability to prepare plan sets and other construction documents with supporting drainage reports.


Design experience in multiple types of development projects that include utilities, site layout, drainage, road design, grading design, due diligence and permitting.


Overseeing daily operations and deliverables that may be necessary for the projects.


Detail oriented civil engineering design.


Produce quality designs and plans, interpreting plans from other engineering related disciplines (survey, utility, etc.), performing drainage design and analysis, and plan set production and detailing.


Manage client needs, project scopes, budgets, support personnel, and schedule.


Management of consultants for design efforts outside of those handled by us.


Attend meetings with clients and consultants to understand project needs and issues, as well as present proposed solutions and design approaches.


Comply and enforce QA/QC procedures for every phase of the project.


Business development activities and assignments.


Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.


Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with Civil Engineering Consulting Firm.


Texas PE required.


Working knowledge of HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-HMS, HY-8, HouStorm, EPA SWMM, XP SWMM, ArcGIS, QGIS, GEOPAK/OpenRoads, MicroStation 2D & 3D, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Flowmaster, Culvert-Master, FEMA reporting and detention pond design.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills in regard to project calls and correspondence.


Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
