Civil Engineer

Location: Abilene, TX; Odessa, TX; or Houston, TX

General Information/Job Summary

The candidate should be a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 10+ years of experience in civil engineering work for oil and gas and chemical facilities. At this position, the candidate will manage one or more projects at any given time. The candidate can complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline while coordinating with other disciplines to complete projects.

Responsibilities/Competencies

• Experience as a Civil Engineer for large industrial projects in midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil & gas industries
• Act as a discipline mechanical/civil engineer for selected projects
• Interact with all engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, and clients
• Provide input to the initial project schedule and support the regular maintenance of project schedules for all projects.
• Provide man hour and equipment estimates for project proposals as required
• Follow procedures and systems to maximize department efficiency
• Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and interface with people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
• Self-motivated with skills to work well with others and the client

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and Licensed Professional Engineer in State of Texas
• At least 10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of LNG facilities (preferred)
• Proficient in RISA 3D, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam
• Experienced in leading engineering team and working with Civil Design team
