We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Scheduler with previous field experience. You will create and oversee the project schedules and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have great organizational skills, be able to multitask efficiently and have experience using scheduling software. The goal will be to ensure all project schedules are completed on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Responsibilities
• Read and interpret detailed construction drawings with the ability to understand the project scope, requirements, and budget.
• Create and update the project schedules for the duration of the project using the project’s plans and specifications, utilizing the scheduling software P6.
• Understand how to fully build and maintain an organized, integrated schedule using CPM, resource loading, baselining, coding and cost.
• Participating in project risk reviews, performing schedule qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Determining reasonable schedule logic, duration, and constraints based on interactive planning sessions with the project team.
• Identifying issues, capturing impacts and delays to schedules, and recommend mitigation/recovery schedules.
• Verify schedule integrity throughout the duration of the project and adjusts the schedule based on project needs and potential scope changes.
• Prepare reports to effectively communicate the schedule to project management team, subcontractors, and owners.
• Analyze project change orders for schedule impacts. Monitor deviations and develop a method for corrective action.
• Ensure adherence to the schedule by developing weekly, monthly and long term detailed critical path schedules and update monthly interval schedules.
• Write schedule narratives.
• Prepare and deliver monthly submittals and narratives to the Government.
• Participate in project meetings.
Qualifications
• Strong experience in construction scheduling with an understanding of construction terminology used in contracts and other construction documents.
• Proficient with the advanced features in P6 scheduling software and ability to embrace new technology.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with cost loading specifically with RMS.
• Familiarity with federal projects preferred.
• Microsoft Project experience is a preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At minimum of 2 years’ project scheduling experience required.
