Description

Job Summary:

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and HHFH policies and procedures. 


Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with HHFH’s policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Assist as needed with the following personnel: Construction Director, Project Manager, Superintendent, and House Leaders
  • Control and manage inventory in warehouse and jobsite.
  • Provide safety and construction training to volunteer crews
  • Ensure safety standards are followed by staff and volunteers
  • Operate trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling, and unloading of various equipment, materials and supplies
  • Operate construction and/or power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Inspect condition and perform general maintenance of machinery and equipment used in the warehouse
  • Enforce all company rules and regulations
  • Communicate with Project Manager, Superintendent, and House Leads to ensure efficient delivery of material and products to jobsites.
  • Manage service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.
  • Uphold HHFH’s organizational values and ethics
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 

  • High school diploma/GED required or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory role
  • Must possess valid and appropriate driver’s license 
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with all levels of staff
  • Observes safety and security procedures, reports unsafe conditions and uses equipment and materials properly
  • Current and valid Texas driver’s license

  

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs., stand, squat, bend, climb, crouch crawl and use tools 
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions (hot, humid, rain, and cold)
  • Moderate to above moderate noise level.
