Designer/Detailer

Job Description

The Lead Detailer will be responsible for using Metal Building Software (MBS) to draft and detail construction drawings of pre-engineered metal buildings.  The Lead Detailer is also responsible for leading the detailing team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality output.  The person in this role will need to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team as well as conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum, 5 years of experience detailing and checking drawings within the metal building industry required.
• Proficiency using Metal Building Software (MBS) required.
• Experience using Tekla is highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and mentoring others.

Daily-duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and checking of drawings and plans for accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards and company quality requirements.
• Collaborate with the detailing team to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Interpret and verify the Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy.
• Optimize the use of MBS, keeping it up to date with current detailing standards.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Work on projects of varying complexity, from low to high.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure project success
