The MCA Communications Entry Level Paid-Training Program is just the opportunity for you!




Begin your career in Information Communications Technology Installation field through MCA Communications by joining our Pre-Apprenticeship Program. You will participate in classroom instruction, receive experience in the field at one of our ongoing projects, and complete an OSHA-10 Construction Safety course.




As an ICT Technician, you will install, repair, and maintain some of the following types of technologies:



  • Structured cabling network installation: copper & fiber optic

  • Data centers and telecommunication rooms

  • Teleconferencing center build-outs

  • LED walls

  • High-end projectors

  • Audio systems

  • Interactive smart boards

  • Touch screens

  • Flat panel displays

  • Nurse call systems

  • CCTV, security, and access control

  • DAS (distributed antenna systems)

  • Workstation outlets

Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of standard construction safety practices

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills




Requirements:



  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Must pass a criminal background check and pass a drug test

  • Must be willing to work anywhere in Houston and surrounding area

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule when needed


 


Abilities:



  • Lift up to 75 pounds at one time and at least 50 pounds for an extended period of time.

  • Fully utilize and relocate a 10-12 foot stepladder without assistance.

  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet; can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.

  • Full ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, turn, twist, crawl, squat, walk, climb, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.

  • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see the differences in colors, shades, and brightness

  • Possess the ability to understand and communicate in English at a minimum conversational level.

  • Meet any and all OSHA safety requirements.
