Job Title - Financial Analyst

 

Role Summary

 

Provide financial planning, analysis and reporting, and commercial finance support as part of Dresser Utility Solutions business team during operating plans, forecasts, ad-hoc analysis, and monthly close. Coordinate with the business unit finance teams to track overall financial performance, backlog, key metrics weekly pacing, etc. Provide recommendations and drive operational ownership across teams to ensure consistency and compliance

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

Support preparation for monthly and quarterly financial closing. Identify and articulate risks and opportunities relevant to the forecast period. Prepare financial projections for key planning sessions and operating plans. Prepare critical analyses of business results (Trend Analysis, Productivity Metrics, etc.). Help drive expense analytics. Participate in cross-functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies. Help implement financial modeling improvements in planning and forecasting to enhance process efficiency, support new initiatives, and accurately capture the changing business economics and structure

 • Coordinate weekly pacing, monthly close activity 
 • Support preparation for quarterly and annual financial budgets and forecasts
 • Participate in cross-functional process improvement teams to promote operational efficiencies
 • Assist in identifying process improvements for overall business
 
Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
 • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
 • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
 • Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities

• Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans and deliver the results timely

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
