You Have: 

  • 3+ years of experience with software development and basic programming languages, technologies, and tools

  • Experience writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications

  • Knowledge of software performance optimization

  • Ability to work collaboratively and resolve issues with multiple customers, stakeholders and engineers

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, and collaborate with government and other stakeholders to implement recommended solutions 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics

Nice If You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience with software development and basic programming languages, technologies, and tools

  • Experience in C++ programming and Python

  • Experience working with Linux environments for development

  • Experience with performance optimization, parallel computing, and high-performance computing techniques for large-scale simulations

  • Experience with profiling and debugging tools to improve software performance

  • Knowledge of physics and numerical methods

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
