Description

Front End Warehouse Associate I is responsible for fulfilling the logistics of receiving, processing and storing a facility's inventory. They perform tasks like storing products, receiving incoming deliveries, scanning items before logging them on computer systems, managing stock, maintaining a warehouse's cleanliness and inspecting products to detect defects or damages.



  • Request & verify Government ID from drivers before entering the facility

  • Receives and directs truck drivers and deliveries, including logistics and paperwork

  • Confirm freight is delivering to correct location DGM; request documentation BOL, P/L, INVOICE, DT, etc.,

  • Performs accurate quality control checks

  • Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to storage or to the other designated areas

  • Sorts and places materials and items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, temperature specifications, type, style, or product code

  • Unloads material, verifies packing slip, notates discrepancies, and distributes items to proper workers

  • Assembles paperwork from Account Coordinator and places orders on pallets or shelves

  • Marks materials with identifying information and verifies accuracy

  • Take weights/measurements of freight to be packed, and verify quantities and part numbers

  • Close box and apply markings as needed

  • Counts items within service center to ensure conformance to company standards

  • Arranges materials in order of FIFO or other customer specified sequencing

  • Uses computer for inter-company correspondence

  • Prepares parcels for outbound shipments

  • Check security camaras & report any suspicious activity to QHSE/Management

  • Maintains showcase standards through cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse by performing housekeeping duties, including picking up and dumping trash

  • Handles tools and materials according to training/regulations and in a safe and proper manner

  • Reads customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed

  • Maintains inventory records and conduct facility inventory of freight and/or supplies when requested by Management

  • Engage in Kaizen (continuous improvement) or other process improvement initiatives

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to OSHA and TSA

  • Identify different classifications of hazardous materials

  • May require minor travel or relocate to other work areas.

  • Participates in safety, quality, or other committee memberships as needed

  • Escalates any potential safety or quality concerns


Performs other related duties as requested.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience in related industry field, i.e. freight forwarding, packing, warehousing, logistics, transportation, etc.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Forklift Experience Required – 12k

  • Must have hand tools experience, reading tape measure and use basic hand tools.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be Customer Service oriented.

  • Must have basic computer skills - proficiency with Microsoft

WORKING CONDICTIONS:



  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly for the duration of a shift.

  • Works safely and uses all necessary PPE

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects.

  • Ability to work prolonged and/or irregular hours.

  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to work through stressful situations.

  • Must be able to navigate warehouse.

  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday 6 a.m.- 5 p.m. Occasional Weekends and Overtime
