Position Overview:

The Fuel Sales and Marketing (FSM) Communications Advisor will serve as the focal point for all communications to Motiva Shell & 76 branded wholesalers, commercial customers, and FSM staff.  All communication will be generated from Communications Advisor and delivered via Marketing Cloud. The Communications Advisor will report to the Technology Solutions Manager and will support all FSM communication needs. This role also serves as the SME for Marketing Cloud platform and liaise the development teams and key business stakeholders regarding enhancements, defects, and process improvements within the systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a liaison with Shell and 76 points of contact for continuity of branded marketing messages directed to Motiva wholesalers.  Collaborate with FSM Marketing Brand Manager and teams on various branded campaigns and overall program. 
  • Ownership of all FSM program messages 
  • Manage all customer-facing business messages across all FSM business units with a standardized style to reflect one voice with standardized template. Business messages examples: Compliance, PQA, Tobacco, hurricane updates, etc. 
  • Manage all customer-facing technology platforms including Vimeo and Marketing Zone (platform: Salesforce), this includes uploading, tagging, removing, and categorizing assets regularly on both for customers of both brands to access training and marketing information.
  • Spearhead development of monthly FSM Highlight reel for bistro TV by liaising with all FSM program owners and staff
  • Collaborate with FSM IT focal and Salesforce Marketing Cloud contacts to understand full Marketing Cloud capabilities, develop and implement new ways of communicating that fit the Motiva business.
  • Utilize statistics on Marketing Cloud to capture data on customer behaviors and use data to optimize communication strategy.
  • Manage training with customers and Sales staff; moderate training/webinars over various topics or programs (Fuel Zone Webinars, Hurricane Webinars, etc.)
  • Provide weekly updates on key FSM programs, updates, or milestones that will be provided to CEO and Aramco board.
  • Attend various tradeshows to help with Motiva booth at a few tradeshows throughout the year.
  • Requires being available occasionally during “off hours” as needed for critical communications.

    • Shell Conference & Trade Shows
    • Shell Call to Action Monthly Newsletter
    • The Giving Pump Weekly Newsletter
    • 76: Regional sponsorships
    • 76 Program communications
    • Shell and 76 Sales Materials
    • Liaison with Motiva Brand Managers and appropriate sales teams
    • Shell Mobility Academy
    • Organizational changes
    • Training/Webinar Registration Communications

  • Other Communications:
    • Work with various business owners of Sales Support, Business Operations and Salesforce on message creation and deployment.
    • Liaison with Motiva corporate communications on Motiva brand standards for Motiva-specific communications

Experience and Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • 3+ Years of Experience in communications, Marketing and Branding
  • Minimum requirement BA or BS Degree in field of communications and Marketing
  • Ability to create, administer and own standardized communications, branding, and marketing collateral.
  • Skilled in project management working with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral Communication Skills
  • Ability to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Marketing Cloud via Salesforce and overall Salesforce knowledge (Communities, Sales Cloud) and Vimeo  
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge FSM business processes
  • MA or MS preferred.
  • Self-motivated; works well independently and on teams (sometimes leading)
  • Ability to think strategically and implement tools procedures to enable execution of initiatives in an efficient and effective manner.
