Internships are Monday through Friday for 40 hours a week. The intern will work on software development projects for multiple in-house applications. They must have prior knowledge of various programming languages. Interns need to be able to work both independently and alongside a team.
Essential Job Duties
- Integrate third party tools and architect custom solutions to enhance current proprietary tools related to automation of admin tasks
- Perform KPI analytics to monitor the success of previous and current solutions
- Participate in all aspects of infrastructure maintenance and software development including design, discussion, implementation and deployment
- Create reliable API endpoints that satisfy requirements related to adult education
- Use SQL to identify data to collect and devise a method of extraction to transform raw data into desired structures
- Draw on classroom experience to contribute out of the box thinking recommendations
- Collaborate with team members and contribute solutions to the teamβs codebases
Must Haves
- Proficiency in PHP with experience in Laravel framework
- Proficiency in JavaScript with experience in React framework
- Proficiency in SQL queries and databases
- Understanding of Restful and SOAP API
- Understanding of Object Oriented Programming
- Proficiency in common Git operations
- Familiarity with using Linux terminal or terminal shell
- An interest in education technology
- Self-driven to deliver production grade solutions in a timely manner
Nice to have
- Experience using Docker and Docker Compose
- Experience in Material UI
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Django framework
- Ability to evaluate AI models based on use case
- Experience building an AI application
Education and Experience
- Pursuing a bachelorβs or masterβs degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
