This role involves close collaboration with the Office of Continuing Medical Education to develop, implement, and refine innovative marketing strategies that promote a diverse range of continuing medical educational offerings. The Marketing Specialist will manage all aspects of marketingβfrom planning and execution to performance analysis and optimizationβensuring our initiatives effectively engage healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities include developing compelling marketing campaigns alongside management and cross-functional teams, including digital, web, and market research, to drive impactful changes in academic operations. The ideal candidate will be resourceful and proactive, with strong project management skills, marketing acumen, and a keen ability to gather and interpret data. Excellent writing skills are essential, as the role involves crafting communications that cross-promote events and highlight offerings for our external audience. Attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks are critical for success in this position.

Houston Methodist Academic Institute (formerly the Houston Methodist Research Institute) was formed in 2004 to rapidly and efficiently translate discoveries made in the laboratory and the clinic into new diagnostics, therapies, and treatments. The research institute was created to provide the infrastructure and support for these endeavors, and to house the technology and resources needed to make innovative breakthroughs in important areas of human disease. A 540,000 square foot building dedicated to research and clinical trials, the academic institute houses over 2,047 credentialed researchers conducting 1,470 ongoing clinical protocols.
