What you’ll do…


An excellent opening for a creative Mechanical Engineer to join a rapidly expanding company that is creating cutting-edge generator solutions. In this role, you will serve as the mechanical engineering expert, responsible for designing concepts, developing prototypes, creating detailed designs, validating products, and providing support during product launches. The ideal candidate must be able to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


You’ll make an impact by:

  • Participate in the development of innovative system level concepts and designs that meet project and cost targets.
  • Interface with suppliers and prototype vendors to obtain quotes, make design changes and execute project initiatives.
  • Create and modify detailed drawings, draft conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches, or discussions. Be creative in taking an idea and studying the details before converting it into a design.
  • Support the definition of the project scope and deliverables that align with the project goals and strategies across the organization.
  • Create, update, and maintain project documentation including Solidworks 3D Model, 2D drawings, product specifications, Autodesk Vault, and testing requirements.
  • Work closely with OEM’s on engineering cost reduction projects through all stages including proposal, research, planning, engineering, and design hand over to manufacturing.
  • Support in conducting failure analysis, determining causes and effects, documenting reliability and maintainability trends, and identifying design improvement to prevent similar issues.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of the Company’s management.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of mechanical design experience in product or project development engineering role.
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines and / or power generation systems is a plus.
  • Hands on experience in designing electro-mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Experience in thermal dynamics, CFD, air flow analysis in power generation products in a plus.
  • Advanced user in Solidworks is a plus.
  • Experience with of PDM systems such as Autodesk Vault is a plus.
  • Able to work outdoors for short periods of time, as required for project.
  • Travel 15% of time as required.
