Position Summary:
Responsible for supporting design engineering, manufacturing, system setup/optimization, test & commissioning, and customer support for PROFRAC equipment and supporting systems. Will establish relationships with PROFRAC engineering and production departments.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow the PROFRAC strategy and mission.
- Ensure that Company assets are implemented safely in accordance with applicable industrial standards.
- Ensure that mechanical systems and components are configured to achieve optimal reliability and performance.
- Ensure that Company strategies match the application.
- Provide safe mechanical engineering solutions in accordance with industry standards.
- Provide technical support to implement solutions that meet the customer's needs.
- Go beyond baseline skillset in Mechanical/Electrical/Software disciplines to grow broad system knowledge.
- Ensure that mechanical products coming out of R&D are fully validated as fit for service.
- Ensure operations know how to work with and operate all products and equipment.
- Be comfortable supporting business needs from various locations such as customer facilities, in the field, and remotely.
- Ensure there are safe methods to operate Company equipment and products without entering dangerous environments.
Manufacturing:
- End-of-line Manufacturing QA/QC.
- Technical information transfer to technician teams.
- Support the technician team with parts sourcing.
- Frequent communication with team members to provide and receive feedback as well as ensure task priorities are clearly understood.
System Setup:
- Ensure system solutions are implemented safely through the following:
- Structural analysis and optimization
- Mechanical system studies for integrity and safety
- Vibration analysis and control
- Load distribution and mechanical performance analysis
- Grounding and safety studies for mechanical systems
Testing/commissioning:
- Full functional checkouts of components/systems.
- Relay PROFRAC system issues to design engineering.
- Navigate software to find the needed signals to log issues and troubleshoot them.
- Issue resolution.
- Communicate concerns about mechanical performance about data trends.
Technical Support:
- Support customer/internal issues related to mechanical components in the field.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems such as engines, pumps, compressors, turbines, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with mechanical analysis tools such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis), vibration analysis, and fatigue testing.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and FEA simulation tools.
- Experience with mechanical systems testing and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and assembly techniques.
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues in the field and providing solutions.
- Experience in Oil & Gas or a similar field is preferred
