POSITION OVERVIEW
The Network Administrator reports to the IT Network Services Manager in IT. This position will be responsible for implementation, support, and management of the IT network infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Work in team environment for planning, coordination, configuration, installation, and management of network and related client services to meet the needs of our business. The individual must be able to work autonomously with little supervision.
- Monitor network performance, health and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain security measures to prevent unauthorized access, cyberattacks, and data breaches.
- Maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches and F5 load balancers.
- Identify and fix hardware, software, and other network issues.
- Install and maintain hardware and software.
- The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time; or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN/Wireless technologies.
- Assist with after-hours on-call schedule. Currently rotated with three team members and team assists with 24 hours operations on Pipeline, LNG Operations and London.
- Assist with additional job duties, includes expansion of SPL and CCL.
- Assist with additional cybersecurity requests from Tech Security team, including vulnerability remediation, security projects, etc.
- Detail oriented and effective time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge managing F5 Load balancers that act as reverse proxy servers and load-balance network traffic across servers.
- Working knowledge of Internet standards and protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, TACACS, RADIUS etc)
- Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center 5.9 and Genetec Config Tool.
- Understanding of Structured cabling concepts.
- Experience with network and circuit testing with Ethernet Packet Analysis, T1 Testing Specifications.
- Working knowledge and usage of T1/DS3, MPLS, PRI, and Ethernet technologies.
Skills:
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Computer literate with typical office packages and basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new software and applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education, Training and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant Network IT experience is required.

WORK CONDITIONS
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere.
- Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is also dependent on input from others.
- Often exposed to stressful situations.
- Ability to work outside normal workdays and standard office hours.
- Some travel is required.
- Participate in IT Infrastructure on-call rotation.
