Basic Responsibility
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for supporting the doctors’ work and actively facilitates patients’ recovery. NP is the primary medical representative of the practice. He/she should be available for any patient questions or concerns between 8-5 Monday – Friday. He/she should also assist with the work of the MA pursuant to the physicians’ requests. The NP will apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of a physician and will deal with a diverse set of patients offering them care and encouragement. Your primary responsibilities are to support the Rheumatologist and provide care to patients before, during, and after surgical operations. Your job duties include performing physical exams, analyzing diagnostic tests, educating patients about treatment options, and assisting in surgeries. You need excellent communication skills and compassion for interacting with anxious or worried patients. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are vital skills for NP’s.
