Post Oak is currently accepting applications for on call substitute teacher positions.
Ideal candidates will be dedicated, energetic individuals with a passion for working with young children. This role requires someone who is flexible, organized, comfortable in a support role receiving directions from a lead teacher, and joyful in their work.
Assisting the teacher in the Early Childhood Department includes, but is not limited to, preparing the classroom environment, supervising children during lunch, recess, and physical fitness, sanitizing materials, monitoring nappers, leading songs or games, managing arrivals and dismissals, and stepping in and taking on the role of the responsible adult when the lead teacher is not present.
Assisting the teacher in the Elementary Department includes, but is not limited to, preparing the classroom environment, supervising children during lunch, recess, and physical fitness, sanitizing materials, supporting student research and work completion, reviewing student assignments, managing arrivals and dismissals, caring for students after school and stepping in and taking on the role of the responsible adult when the lead teacher is not present.
The ideal candidate holds a college degree and experience working with children ages 14 months through kindergarten, or 1st through 6th grade, or both. All candidates should be comfortable using online tools or have the capability to learn quickly.
