The Production Manager will lead a manufacturing operation, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance, while fostering continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing and production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production processes.
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies, focusing on material planning, sourcing, scheduling, and logistics.
Collaborate with Warehousing Operations and Supply Chain teams to align manufacturing efforts with organizational goals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all production processes, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently achieved.
Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure production effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Implement strategies to maintain and improve safety standards across the manufacturing environment.
Foster a culture of quality by ensuring strict adherence to product specifications and industry standards.
Oversee production scheduling and inventory management to ensure timely product availability while minimizing costs.
Lead efforts to identify and implement new technologies, equipment, and process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Ensure proper utilization of resources and equipment to maximize return on investment.
Manage production budgets, monitor spending, and ensure financial targets and objectives are met.
Recruit, train, and develop a world-class manufacturing team, promoting skill development, engagement, and performance excellence.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with other departments to resolve production issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
Maintain open communication with customers, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are addressed promptly.
Champion a culture of integrity, respect, and accountability across all levels of the production team.
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering, Business or a related required
5+ years leadership experience with a $5MM+ manufacturing organization
Cabinetry or Furniture industry experienced preferred β Finish System experience management preferred
Strong track record for transforming organizations β building the team, managing change, streamlining processes, and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements.
