JOB SUMMARY:

Under direction and guidance from the Materials Specialist and Warehouse Manager, and in alignment with strategies led by the Corporate Materials and Logistics Manager in San Diego, CA, the Receiving & Warehouse Supervisor is the main point of contact for the facility’s receiving, put-away, warehousing, picking, replenishment to production, cycle checks, and inventory controls. This position is also responsible for maintaining safety standards in the area as well as accuracy between systems and actual inventory. The supervisor will train staff, assign tasks, monitor team performance, generate performance reports, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving and Inspection:

  • Process receipts and customer returns in a timely fashion.
  • Perform receiving, labeling, and incoming inspections of materials.
  • Ensure compliance with material handling and safety practices.

Material Handling:

  • Operate forklifts, order pickers, and other material-moving equipment after obtaining internal certification.
  • Direct warehouse team in sorting of goods into designated warehouse locations using forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Pick and decant materials, handling and delivering them to internal customers.

Warehouse Management:

  • Maintain material controls to ensure proper rotation and longevity of product shelf life.
  • Conduct material audits and contribute to warehouse layout rearrangements for improved efficiency.
  • Perform regular cycle checks and assist other areas as needed, such as Shipping.

Data Input:

  • Book necessary transactions into the system (MAS/Sage) and maintain appropriate inventory controls in Sage and the assigned Google Sheets/Shared Folders.
  • Input data into company systems using computer terminals, scanners, or other electronic equipment.

Safety and Housekeeping:

  • Adhere to the established safety practices and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Follow good safety and housekeeping practices in alignment with Reotemp standards.

Production Support:

  • Direct picking and replenishment functions to ensure timely supply of materials to Production.
  • Implement lean replenishment processes from the warehouse to the shop floor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse supervision experience required
  • Able to enforce safety rules and regulations in the workplace.
  • Forklift license.
  • Experienced in receiving, conducting basic product inspections, and maintaining record accuracy.
  • Experience working and organizing warehouse functions using a warehouse management system and MRP controls.
  • Experience mentoring and overseeing receiving, receiving inspection, and warehouse personnel.
  • Understanding of Lean practices.
  • Familiarity with software systems, barcode creation, labeling, and scanning experience – highly desirable.
  • Dependable, with a strong work ethic (minimum 40 hours/week).
  • Good communication skills in English (read, write, and speak English proficiently).
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 45lbs.
