Job Title: Sales Manager-Systems and Reliability Solutions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Directly manage a Systems and Reliability Solutions (SYS/RS) Sales Team composed of employees based in Stafford, TX.
  • Develop and implement strategies for maximizing Company opportunities for SYS/RS products.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with SYS/RS customers, including key technical and procurement personnel who are influential in the decision process.
  • Develop a business plan for areas of responsibilities that includes goals, objectives and strategies that ensure attainment of goals related to sales, gross profit margin, and expense management.
  • Collaborate with other Puffer-Sweiven business unit leaders and sales managers to identify, develop and achieve results for the markets served.
  • Collaborate with and develop relationships with principal manufacturers including but not limited to Emerson to maximize results.
  • Deliver strategic and financial results to the Company for the Puffer-Sweiven SYS/RS sales teams.
  • Identify Puffer-Sweiven opportunities (all Business unit products and services) in the markets served.
  • Evaluate sales performance of direct reports and provide feedback consistently, regularly and in a timely manner.
  • Create an environment of success while building a strong team. Spend a large part of time interfacing with sales team members and customers.
  • Monitor sales team performance metrics and communicate results to individuals, teams, the Business Unit and Corporate.
  • Lead, develop and direct personnel resources associated with the Sales Team
  • Manage the selection, retention, development, measurement, motivation, and cooperation of direct reports.
  • Ensures that the Company’s policies and strategies are communicated and implemented.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining proper work processes that will assist and provide the lowest cost to sale while maximizing margin.
  • Provide quarterly Company management presentation of team strategies, objectives, activities, and results.
  • Promote and provide a safe and healthy workplace, which includes timely completion of safety training by the manager and direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Knowledge:

  • BS/BA degree preferred in a discipline that demonstrates strong business or technical acumen, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong Knowledge of Industry/ Business Climate including working knowledge of the product flow through refineries, chemical plants, industrial gas plants, midstream Oil and gas operations, and terminals.
  • Understand of the operating strategies and procurement processes of Engineering Contractors and Systems Integrators.
  • General knowledge of Product and Service Offerings including control systems and safety systems knowledge.

Experience/Skills:

  • 2-3 years of successful sales management experience preferred.
  • 5 – 7 years of selling process automation systems in the greater Houston area or similar market.
  • Strong digital proficiency with modern CRM systems, MS Office, Power Point, and other business software.
