Summary of Position:
This position will report to the SCADA Manager and support WaterBridge’s SCADA Operations. This individual must be able to provide customer support to I&E, measurement, operations, the control room, and other vendors. Basic communications troubleshooting skills, advanced programming ability, and advanced database management are required.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

As a SCADA Software Developer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing control/SCADA systems in Ignition, including databases and database interfaces, data analytics and reporting, scripting (Python, Java, etc.), and general programming.
- Designing intuitive, easy-to-navigate, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces.
- Participating in designing meetings and consulting with internal customers to create, refine, test, and debug programs to meet business needs.
- Engaging in all phases of the Ignition SCADA development lifecycle, which includes gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages, and creating application system models.
- Identifying ideas to improve system performance and impact availability and performance.
- Developing, testing, and implementing new SCADA programs and functionality on time.
- Providing comprehensive support to internal customers; resolving outstanding problems or issues.

- Ensuring job duties are carried out safely, with due regard for the environment, and in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensuring accurate, timely data is entered and recorded within computer-based preventative and predictive maintenance programs, drawings, procedures, and schematics.
- Staying abreast of changing technology through training opportunities, contacting suppliers/ representatives of equipment manufacturers, and networking with others in the field.
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices.
- Additional duties as instructed by supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Having 8+ years of SCADA experience / or 4 years of SCADA experience with college or technical trade school in an applicable degree is highly preferred.
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time to interface with field personnel.
- Must be available for on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support.
- A valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
- Must be proficient with Ignition SCADA software.
- Must have technical skills and experience working with experience working with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, Java, MQTT, and GenAI.
- Advanced experience with PostgreSQL configuration and management.
- Experience with SCADA software systems and industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, OPC-DA, Modbus)
- Experience with development languages (python scripting, java, javascript) and use of API’s.
- Experience with data transport technologies such as HTTP, SNMP, and MQTT.
- Experience with cloud-hosted technologies such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Service.
- Experience using computers and essential Word, PowerPoint, and Excel knowledge required.
- Demonstrate advanced organizational skills with finely tuned time-management skills.
- Able to apply common-sense understanding to daily tasks/issues.
- Have forthright communication with field leadership; job progress, issues & resolutions, required manpower & equipment, etc.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Must be able to relate to other people and maintain good relationships with coworkers and peers.
- Must be able to respond appropriately to constructive criticism.

Position Type:
- This is a full-time position, with the expectation to respond to On-Call Request during Network Outages.
- Monday – Friday
- Every other Friday off
- On-Call every 3rd week
- This is a Hybrid position, working both in the office and remotely.
- In-office schedule (3 days per week)
- Remote schedule (2 days per week)
